Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 25,000 2014 Fiat 500L cars in the U.S. and Canada over software issues that are affecting acceleration.
Problems occur when drivers attempt to accelerate after easing up almost completely on the gas pedal. In “rare circumstances,” the vehicle hesitates briefly before resuming acceleration, the automaker said.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the problem, which can be corrected with a software update.
The bulk of the 25,593 cars are located in the U.S., with just over 4,000 sold in Canada.
