General Motors Co.’s Chevrolet brand Sunday offered a sneak peek of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The front of the car, shown briefly, has a more athletic, premium and mainstream look than the current generation Volt, which GM began selling in late 2010 as a 2011 model, according to information posted on the Chevrolet Volt Facebook page Sunday night. Chevrolet also revealed the front fascia.
The Detroit automaker will officially reveal the Volt plug-in hybrid electric vehicle next week during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and teased on Facebook: "Surprise! The Next Gen Volt just wowed the audience at International CES but you’ll have to wait until January 12th at North American International Auto Show for all of the incredible details."
GM has said the Volt will have more range and more power than the first-generation car.
