Detroit — The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center says it has completed a $30 million renovation project.

The hotel announced Wednesday that the one-year project has overhauled its 1,298 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space.

The 70-floor downtown hotel remained open throughout the project. Only a few floors of guest rooms underwent reconstruction at a time and meeting space remodeling was done in phases to enable group functions to continue without disruption.
