Life meets art in “Grow,” a new music video from the “Detroit” soundtrack where actor-singer Algee Smith duets with “Cleveland” Larry Reed, the man he portrays in the film.

The video captures a live performance of the song where Smith, who grew up in Saginaw, is backed by Reed. Smith’s father plays piano on the song.

In other “Detroit” music video news, “First Day Out” rapper Tee Grizzley has released a video for “Teetroit,” his song inspired by the “Detroit” film. In the clip, Grizzley raps alongside Detroit residents who were a part of the 1967 riots.

The official “Detroit” soundtrack is available now on Motown Records.
