The Detroit News has published its first eBook, an illustrated volume of "Simply the Best" columns and recipes from food writer Kate Lawson called "Seasonally Simple."

Kate drew the 100 recipes and columns from pieces that first appeared as "Simply the Best" columns in The Detroit News Eats & Drinks and Homestyle sections. Her column describes wonderful dishes she discovered and prepared for family and friends. The recipes emphasize quality, fresh ingredients in season, but don't require a lot of heavy lifting, "Seasonally Simple" is divided into chapters corresponding to each of the four seasons.
