Celebrity chef Michael Symon (“Iron Chef,” “The Chew”) is lending his name and Detroit restaurant Roast for a gala dinner at 6 p.m. Friday to benefit the Greening of Detroit.
Symon will prepare a five-course meal at the gala, which will support Greening’s mission to inspire sustainable growth of a healthy urban community through trees, green spaces, food, education, training and job opportunities, according to a statement from Greening. There also will be cocktails and live entertainment.
Tickets cost $500, $250 or $150 and can be purchased at greeningofdetroit.com.
Roast is at 1128 Washington in the Westin Book Cadillac hotel.
