Open late, 168 KTV Bistro has 10 private karaoke suites, full bar and Asian menu

Get your vocal prowess and your appetite ready for 168 KTV Bistro, which had its grand opening Thursday in Madison Heights.

The 5,600-square-foot bar and restaurant has 10 private karaoke suites with high-tech sound and lighting systems. Rooms can be used by eight to 40 guests and karaoke subtitles come in not only English, but also Chinese Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, Filipino (Tagalog), Japanese, and Korean.

The large menu has noodle dishes, dim sum, stir-fry, Szechuan entrees and unique choices like spicy pig ear, spicy boiled live fish soup and wok-fried frog. A full bar offers 35 beers and other refreshments.

Another interesting element to the new hangout is late hours. It’s open 4 p.m.- 2 a.m. Mon.-Thurs., 4 p.m.-3 a.m. Fri., noon-3 a.m. Sat. and noon-3 a.m. Sun.

“My vision was to open a fun and friendly place where you can eat, relax and sing with all your family and friends, said 168 KTV Bistro owner Archie Mojares in a press release. “Singing Karaoke has an unique ability for our guests to become a STAR for a day.”

Customers are welcome to drop-in at KTV, but reservations are encouraged.
