Actor Tom Sizemore plans to film his next movie, “An Honest Thief,” in his native Detroit. Written by his brother Aaron Sizemore, the film is based on the lives of their two uncles, who were petty thieves. Tom Sizemore appeared on the “Adam Carolla Show” Tuesday to promote the film and talk about their crowd funding campaign through indiegogo.com. He’s looking to raise $500,000 over the next two months. Contributors can get perks like a digital download of the film, T-shirts and other merchandise, and opportunities to visit the set. Eminem sues New Zealand political party over song
New Zealand’s National party allegedly used Eminem’s hit song “Lose Yourself” in a re-election campaign ad for prime minster John Key, the Guardian reported. The Detroit rapper is not pleased and is suing the political party for damages for copyright infringement. The Guardian article states that the party is defending itself by saying the backing music came from an Australian-based production outfit. Meanwhile, an article in the New Zealand Herald reports that the National Party said it purchased the music by the book.
Two more films approved for incentives in Michigan
Upcoming film “Grain,” set in the near future, when sustainable life as we know it is threatened, has been approved by the Michigan Film Office for an incentive of $238,588 on $727,406 of projected in-state expenditures. It’s set to begin filming this month in Detroit at “emblematic and historic locations,” according to a film office press release. The faith-based film “Believe” will also start filming this month in Manistee, Grand Rapids and Muskegon.

■“Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Cheryl Burke announced on “Good Morning America” that this season of the show is “probably” going to be her last. This fall she’s teamed up with model Antonio Sabato Jr.
