‘Frozen River’ actress is missing
Actress Misty Upham has been missing since Oct. 6. The 32-year-old is best known for her role in 2008’s “Frozen River,” for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Upham’s father, Charles Upham, thinks the disappearance is a “red flag,” but the Auburn, Washington, police department doesn’t suspect foul play. “Police are not actively searching for her, as she does not fit the criteria for a ‘missing and endangered person,’ ” a rep for the police department told People. In the past year, authorities have been called to Upham’s apartment due to suicide calls. Her father posted on her Facebook page that while Upham “left in a psychotic state of mind,” this is the first time the family has lost contact with her.
