The rapper will simulcast the debut of his new shoe line to Detroit theater Thursday
Kanye West is set to unveil his new line of Adidas wear, and Detroit is one of the cities where the launch of the line will be simulcast to movie theaters.
Via the website http://www.yeezy.supply, fans can request tickets to a stream of the event, which is expected to take place at 4 p.m. Thursday. A note on the site says, “Yeezy Season 1: Experience a live stream of the event in a cinema near you,” and there’s a link to request tickets to the event (after supplying a full name, email address, phone number and date of birth).
Theater details are not yet available. Detroit is one of 25 American cities at 41 international cities participating in the launch.
Tickets are free but are “extremely limited,” according to the site. Those who RSVP will be notified by the end of the day Wednesday if they will receive tickets to the event.
West wore his new Adidas sneakers on Sunday’s Grammy telecast. He has been hyping the collaboration, which follows his fallout with Nike, for more than a year. The new shoes are expected to launch in New York this weekend with a rumored price tag of $350.
