Iggy Azalea is engaged, says she canceled tour for creative reasons

Rapper Iggy Azalea fist postponed her Great Escape tour, and then decided to officially scrap the whole thing. The Australian told Seventeen magazine that she nixed the tour due to "creative change of heart." Azalea also said she needed a break. "I've been going nonstop for the past two years, nearly every single day." This week the rapper also revealed that she's engaged to Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers. According to E! News, he gave her a $500,000 ring with more than 10 carats worth of diamonds. The couple met on Twitter and have been together since 2013.

Caitlyn Jenner's reveal creates buzz storm

Since Monday morning, pop culture news has been dominated by Caitlyn Jenner's debut on the cover of Vanity Fair. (The transgendered reality star was formerly known as Olympic medalist Bruce Jenner.) She broke the Twitter record previously held by President Barack Obama, gaining 1 million followers in four hours and three minutes. Obama praised Jenner on Twitter, in fact. "It takes courage to share your story," the President tweeted Monday afternoon. Actress Jessica Lange also weighed in, calling the comparisons between her and Jenner's new look "wonderful." Transgendered actress Laverne Cox ("Orange is the New Black"), who appeared on the cover of TIME last year for a story about transgendered rights, spoke out on Tumblr. "I am so moved by all the love and support Caitlyn is receiving. It fees like a new day, indeed." Cox also points out that not all trans people have the the same privileges she and Jenner have. "We must lift up the stories of those most at risk, statistically trans people of color who are poor and working class."

Faye Dunaway spotted buying 'Mommie Dearest' screenplay

Actress Faye Dunaway is writing a memoir on the making of the 1981 film "Mommie Dearest," in which she played legendary actress Joan Crawford. It seems she may need some refresher notes, as Dunaway was spotted purchasing a copy of the film's screenplay at Larry Edmunds Bookshop on Hollywood Boulevard, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Dunaway also picked up the memoir written by Christina Crawford, Joan's daughter, which inspired the cult film. Dunaway earned a National Society of Film Critics Award and a New York Film Critics Circle Award for her portrayal of the difficult Crawford (as well as a "worst actress" Razzie Award).
