Miley Cyrus poses nude for Paper Magazine
Pop star Miley Cyrus is baring it all in a cover story for the summer issue of Paper Magazine. (It’s the same magazine Kim Kardashian famously posed nude in last November.) She’s photographed by Paola Kudacki wearing nothing but pastel body paint. The shoot was directed by Diane Martel, who worked with Cyrus on her Bangerz tour. In the article, written by Amanda Petrusich, Cyrus opens up about her vegan lifestyle, her fluid sexuality and her compassion for the homeless. “I can’t drive by in my (expletive) Porsche and not (expletive) do something,” she said regarding helping the unfortunate. Of her sexuality and gender identification, Cyrus says she is “down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me.” “I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”
Ed Sheeran says Eminem helped him with stuttering
British singer Ed Sheeran spoke at a gala event for the American Institute for Stuttering on Monday, revealing that it was Eminem’s 2000 album “Marshal Mathers LP” that helped him overcome his stutter. “My uncle Jim told my dad that Eminem was the next Bob Dylan,” Sheeran said. “So my dad bought me ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ when I was 9 years old, not knowing what was on it.” He said that mimicking Eminem’s fast and melodic raps helped him with his speaking problems. Sheeran and actress Emily Blunt were honored at the event, which was held in New York City.
Actress Zoe Saldana’s husband takes her name
“Guardians of the Galaxy” actor Zoe Saldana revealed to InStyle magazine that her husband, Italian artist Marco Perego, took her last name when they got married two years ago. Saldana says she tried to talk him out of it. “I told him ‘if you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world.’ ” His reaction: “I don’t give a (expletive).” The couple welcomed twin boys in November.
■Pint-sized cartoon superheros “The Powerpuff Girls” are returning for a rebooted series on Cartoon Network. The original, Emmy Award-winning series ran 1996-2005. Tom Kenny will return as the narrator, but the Powerpuff girls will have new voices. Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup will be voiced by Amanda Leighton, Kristen Li and Natalie Palamides, respectively.
