Paula Deen posts photo of her son in brownface
It seems Paula Deen has learned nothing from the racial discrimination accusations and lawsuit that nearly ruined her career and businesses two years ago. On Tuesday, the southern cooking maven tweeted a 4-year-old photo of herself dressed like Lucy (from “I Love Lucy”) and her son, Bobby Deen, as Ricky, complete in brown makeup. The photo was from an old Halloween episode of one of her Food Network shows and has since been deleted from Twitter.
More Cosby details revealed, stars react
This week news broke that comedian and accused serial rapist Bill Cosby admitted in 2005 court records that he had obtained Quaaludes to use on young women to have sex with. The Associated Press reported that Cosby, 77, testified under oath in a lawsuit by a former Temple University employee that he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl. After this tidbit was released, longtime Cosby supporter Jill Scott took to Twitter to admit she was wrong to defend him. “Sadly, his own testimony offers PROOF of terrible deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations,” she tweeted Monday evening. “I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!!” Whoopi Goldberg, however, maintains that Cosby is innocent until proven guilty. She said on “The View” this week that he “has not been proven a rapist.”

■Congrats to “Rehab Addict” star and Lake Orion native Nicole Curtis! She posted a photo of herself Monday evening showing a very distinct baby bump — though it’s unclear when the photo was taken — and joking that she was a surrogate for her dog Lucy (she later clarified that she was being sarcastic about her dog). Curtis’s new HGTV show, “Beach Flip,” premiered Sunday. In a behind-the-scenes clip from the show, which was filmed this winter in Alabama, her co-host, David Bromstad, refers to Curtis as being six months pregnant. Curtis also has a teenage son.
■Actress Amanda Paterson died of unknown causes in her apartment in Greeley, Colorado, on Friday, according to reports. Only 43, she was best known for her role opposite Patrick Dempsey in the 1987 rom-com “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
