Divorce rumors swirl again for Will and Jada
Radar Online reports that actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are divorcing after 17 years. A source told the publication that the pair had been “holding it together” the past few years and that they’re exhausted from trying to maintain the appearance of a happy marriage. In the past, gossip mags have hinted around a possible break-up, pointing out that both have been photographed without wedding rings, and that there have been extramartial romances on both sides. A website called Gossip Cop is claiming that an “impeccable Smith family source” told them the rumors are not true. In a recent interview with American Way magazine, Jada addressed the frequent divorce rumors, saying “every year there’s a new one.” The two A-listers have two children — Jaden, 17, and Willow, 14 — who also are in the entertainment industry.
Bobby Brown’s wife sent to hospital after funeral
After Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral on Saturday, Bobby Brown’s wife, Alicia Etheredge, was rushed to the hospital. TMZ reports she had a seizure at their hotel. Details are still developing, but the celebrity news outlet says Etheredge was able to walk once she arrived at the hospital.
Britney Spears’ conservatorship may last forever
More than seven years ago Britney Spears personal and financial matters were put into conservatorship after her father, Jamie Spears, went to court after the pop star was hospitalized with psychiatric problems. TMZ reports that the conservatorships have worked out in everyone’s favor, and that the agreement earned Spears $14 million last year. TMZ says that Britney has substantial freedom to make day-to-day financial decisions, but the conservatorships will likely continue forever because of how well they are working.
Rapper Travis Scott arrested after Lollapalooza melee
Chicago police arrested rapper Travis Scott on Saturday and charged him with disorderly conduct. His Lollapalooza set was shut down five minutues in after he encouraged the audience to climb over security barricades and join him on stage. Scott can be heard saying “Middle finger up to security right now” on a video of the incident. According to reports one fan also was charged.
