Lenny Kravitz suffers epic wardrobe malfunction
All performers have wardrobe slip-ups from time to time, but Lenny Kravtiz had a particularly memorable one this week in Stockholm. The musician and “Hunger Games” actor was playing guitar on stage and when he bent down, his leather pants split right open at the crotch. According to attendees, he recovered quickly (although he wasn’t wearing underwear), changed pants and finished the show.
Will Smith refutes divorce rumors
Monday’s re-warmed rumor that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were divorcing has been refuted by the man himself. “Jada and I are NOT GETTING A DIVORCE,” Will Smith posted to his Facebook wall Tuesday, followed by a series of exclamation points and a smiley face emoticon. “I promise you all, if I ever decided to divorce my Queen, I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself.”
Amy Schumer teams up with senator cousin Chuck to talk about gun violence
Amy Schumer stood with her second cousin, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., at a news conference Monday, calling for a revision on how background checks are done for gun owners. This comes after the July 23 shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana, during which a gunman opened fire during a screening Schumer’s film “Trainwreck,” killing two people and injuring nine. Schumer also appeared on “The Daily Show” to talk about her reaction to the shooting. “The second this happened, you want to act. I wanted to go down there and do whatever I could.” An letter to Schumer written by the daughter of one of the teachers wounded in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre called on the outspoken comedian to get involved. Schumer took to Twitter to respond saying, “Don’t worry I’m on it. You’ll see.”
VH1 is casting in Detroit for new show
The VH1 network is looking for women from Metro Detroit to cast for new reality show called “End the Drama.” They’re seeking women ages 25-35 who have suffered major hardships and who are looking for a fresh start and a new lease on life. Interested women should apply at dramacasting.com.
■Kim Richards, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” spent the night in jail after being arrested for shoplifting at Target. TMZ says the reality star has been living out of her car and recently left rehab.
■Congratulations to actor Zooey Deschanel and husband Jacob Pechenik, who welcomed their baby girl last month.
■More baby news: Ice-T and Coco Austin will name their baby girl Chanel. Coco announced her pregnancy on their syndicated talk show this week.
