Mary-Kate Olsen marries French banker

Friday night former child actress Mary-Kate Olsen, 29, married French banker Olivier Sarkozy, 46, in Manhattan. In a move straight out of the 1960s, the 50-person party included “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes,” according to a source quoted in Page Six. “Everyone smoked the whole night,” the source said. The wedding was held at a private residence and guests were required to surrender their cellphones before entering. Olsen and Sarkozy have been dating for three years. Olsen starred in the sitcom “Full House” with her twin sister, Ashley Olsen. Their co-star Bob Saget said on the “Today” show Monday morning that he was not invited to the wedding, but was happy for her and sent her a mazel tov text. “I’m very happy. I love her very much. I hope they’re happy.”

Peter Hook sues former New Order band mates

Bass player Peter Hook is suing his former New Order band mates for “millions of pounds.” He split from the British rock group in 2007 with a 25 percent stake, but the remaining members of the band – Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert – transferred the band’s assets to a new company, diluting Hook’s share to 1.25 percent, according to Rolling Stone. A judge recommended that the feuding parties settle out of court to avoid a costly trial. New Order formed in 1980 from the ashes of the band Joy Division after singer Ian Curtis committed suicide that year.

Holland Taylor: ‘I am out. I live out.’

“Two and a Half Men” actress Holland Taylor talked about her sexual identity for the first time in an interview with WNYC. “My relationship is with a woman,” the 72-year-old actress said. She wouldn’t name her girlfriend, but did reveal that there’s a “very big age difference.” “I’ve been really wrestling with this lately because most of my relationships have been with women and I don’t like talking about them because I don’t like talking about the politics of it all because I’m not political about it... I’d like to be able to just say that, without having to stop and say, ‘so have you come out?’ No, I haven’t come out because I am out. I live out.” Besides “Two and a Half Men,” Holland is known for her roles in films such as “Romancing the Stone” and “Legally Blonde,” and on television series like “Bosom Buddies” and “The Practice,” for which she won an Emmy.
