Love for Beyoncé
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 71, may have hated it, but Malcolm X’s family was nuts about the controversial halftime show Beyoncé, 34, put on at Sunday’s Super Bowl. “I absolutely loved it,” Malcolm’s daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, told Page Six Monday. In the performance, dancers in Black Panther-like berets formed an X on the football field.
Paltrow’s ex-bodyguard testifies about lewd messages
A jury hearing a case against an Ohio man charged with stalking Gwyneth Paltrow is hearing about pornographic messages he sent the actress in 1999. Paltrow’s former bodyguard, Dennis Bridwell, on Tuesday read some of the explicit messages Dante Soiu sent the Oscar winner roughly 17 years ago, reports the Associated Press. Soiu’s attorney, Lynda Westlund, repeatedly objected to Bridwell’s testimony, which were part of a previous case against the 66-year-old that resulted in him being sent to a mental institution for several years. Westlund argued they were too prejudicial. The current case only focuses on Soiu’s recent messages. He sent Paltrow 66 letters and packages between 2009 and 2015. Several contained religious messages, his desire to marry her, and some referenced her death.
ABC: No money changed hands
Hollywood buzzed with rumors that money was involved when “Real Housewife” Teresa Giudice chose “Good Morning America” for her first sit-down TV interview since being sprung from federal prison for tax evasion. Some suggested the 43-year-old ex-felon hoped “GMA” would license, or purchase, personal photos to use during the interview. “This is totally false,” an unidentified ABC spokesman told Page Six. “We don’t license material when booking interviews.” Guidice’s attorney, James J. Leonard Jr. declined to discuss fees, but said Guidice chose “GMA’s” Amy Robach for the interview because of work they’d done together in the past.
Zsa Zsa in hospital
Two days after her 99th birthday, aged screen siren Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Monday after she had trouble breathing. Ninth husband Frederic von Anhalt told TMZ that Zsa Zsa’s doctor came to their home and removed mucus from the starlet’s throat, and then sent her on to the hospital. Zsa Zsa, who hasn’t been seen in public for years, reportedly has an infection connected to her feeding tube. The 1936 Miss Hungary has not been well for some time. Her right leg was amputed in 2011.
