Steve Harvey embraces Flint

Monday’s episode of the “Steve Harvey Show” will be devoted to the water crisis in Flint, CBS announced Friday. The show airs in the Detroit area on WWJ-TV (Channel 62) at 4 p.m. The audience will be filled with Flint residents who were bused to Chicago for the episode. Harvey, 59, will interview Flint Mayor Karen Weaver, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Fox 2 reporter Charlie LeDuff, and a range of local politicians.

Malia, Sasha at state dinner

Malia Obama, 17, and her younger sister, Sasha, 14, attended their very first state dinner when the White House honored Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire, on Thursday night. People.com reports President Barack Obama got a bit overwhelmed when discussing his two gorgeous daughters. “When I was first elected to this office,” he said, “Malia was just 10, and Sasha was 7. And they grow up too fast. Now Malia is going off to college,” he added, “and I’m starting to choke up.”

Bad Dog

Animal-welfare authorities in Los Angeles are investigating Cesar Millan, the 46-year-old “Dog Whisperer” for alleged animal cruelty, The Wrap reported Thursday. The LA County Department of Animal Care and Control responded to complaints about a recent episode of Millan’s show, “Cesar 911,” in which a dog drew blood when he bit a pig’s ear during a training session and had to be subdued. Department officials confirmed they also visited Millan’s training facility in Santa Clarita, California, on Thursday. Millan was reportedly out of town on a business trip. Millan’s network, Nat Geo WILD, has no plans to to discipline their star, a spokesman told the website Friday.

Lourdes to pitch perfume

Speaking of growing up too fast, University of Michigan sophomore and Madonna daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon, 19, will be one of the faces promoting English fashion designer Stella McCartney’s new perfume, Pop, People.com reported Friday. (McCartney, 44, is the daughter of ex-Beatle Paul.) Leon has been missing from the fashion spotlight since appearing with her mother in the 2010 launch for the Material Girl line at Macy’s. In the first image from the Pop campaign, Leon’s black hair has been dyed a soft magenta that correlates nicely with the color of the perfume bottle.

Rebel gets a mickey

“Perfect Pitch” actress Rebel Wilson, 36, says somebody slipped something into a drink she bought at a fasionable Los Angeles nightclub Wednesday night. “I had one drink last night at a trendy club which I believe may have been spiked with something,” Wilson tweeted, according to Page Six. “I felt super tired and disoriented.” The Australian comedian said she consumed less than half, and got herself home ASAP. The next morning, though “I felt like I’d been hit by a truck.” Wilson declined to identify the club in question.
