Comedian Louis C.K. announced summer and fall tour dates Monday, including a stop at Joe Louis Arena in Aug. 5.

Bucking convention, the six-time Emmy Award winner put the tickets on sale the same day as the announcement. Tickets, $25-$65 can be purchased via Ticketmaster or OlympiaEntertainment.com. Main floor and lower bowl tickets can be purchased without service fees via Louis C.K.’s website, louisck.net. Tickets will not be sold at any box offices.

Louis C.K. last performed in Detroit at the Masonic Temple in October 2012. Tickets were sold through his website with no service fees and sold out quickly.

In 2015 the stand-up comedian, actor and director became the first comic to sell out Madison Square Garden four times on the same tour. He’s known to television viewers for his FX series “Louie,” and most recently started starring, writing and directing “Horace and Pete,” a show he distributes through his website.
