Miscarriage inspires Antebellum singer’s new album
Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott is opening up about her recent miscarriage. Scott talked about it with “Good Morning America,” mentioning she thinks miscarriages aren’t talked about enough and are too often swept underneath the rug. “I also feel like there’s this pressure that you’re just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened,” she said. Scott is channeling the pain she felt into music. “Love Remains,” an album of hymns she recorded with her family, is due out July 29. The first single “Thy Will” was recorded when she was “experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage,” she told GMA. “So it was my most raw place that I could’ve ever been when this song truly poured out of me.”
Michael Bay brings 5th ‘Transformers’ filming to Detroit
Detroit is getting Transformed yet again. Filming for the fifth “Transformers” movie, which carries the title “Transformers: The Last Knight,” began Monday in Detroit and will continue for the next eight weeks. Crews are prepping filming areas in Capitol Park and at the former State Savings Bank building at the corner of Fort and Shelby streets for scenes this week. Filming is expected to take place at Fort and Shelby on Friday afternoon, according to a memo from Paramount Pictures sent to tenants in the area. On Monday, “Transformers” extras casting director Maryellen Aviano appeared on Fox 2’s morning show and put the call out for local extras. “There’s not a lot,” she said of opportunities for extras, “but there’s enough that I would like everyone to submit that’s interested.”
She said interested parties — mostly 18 and over, although there are some spots for 16-18-year-olds — should submit a current picture, personal stats (height, scheduling restrictions, etc.) and contact information to email@example.com. “We’re trying to have as many local people in every capacity that we can,” Aviano said.
“Transformers: The Last Knight” is expected to spend $80 million on filming in Michigan and will receive $21 million in tax incentives, according to the Michigan Film Office. Of the production’s 850 cast and crew hires, 450 will be Michigan residents, and around 700 extras will be hired.
