Comedian Dave Chappelle will return to the Fillmore Detroit for three shows this spring.
Tickets, $69.50-$89.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday for three 7 p.m. concerts May 23-25. Get tickets at LiveNation.com.
In April 2015, the unconventional comedian performed six shows over three days at the Fillmore, including a controversial late show the first night in which he was obviously impaired.
Chappelle made national news for his bizarre set on April 23, during which he smoked cigarettes on stage and chatted with the audience more than he told jokes. National reports say he was booed and heckled, and many ticket holders asked for refunds.
During his recent Netflix special Chappelle addressed the incident, saying that a Detroit rapper had gotten him high before the performance, which was his second of the evening.
