Just as tickets went on sale for three Dave Chappelle shows this spring, Live Nation announced two more appearances at the Fillmore Detroit.
In addition to performing May 23-25, the comedian has added a 7 and 10 p.m. show on May 26. Tickets for all shows, $69.50 and up, are on sale now at LiveNation.com or via Ticketmaster.
In April 2015, the unconventional comedian performed six shows over three days at the Fillmore, including a controversial late show the first night in which he was obviously impaired.
Chappelle made national news for his bizarre set on April 23, during which he smoked cigarettes on stage and chatted with the audience more than he told jokes. National reports say he was booed and heckled, and many ticket holders asked for refunds.
During his recent Netflix special Chappelle addressed the incident, saying that a Detroit rapper had gotten him high before the performance, which was his second of the evening.
