Janet Jackson splits with husband

Just months after their son, Eissa, was born in January, Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana have quietly separated. A source told People magazine that the pair “come from very different worlds,” and that cultural differences between them were highlighted after the birth of the baby. Another unnamed source who works with the couple told Page Six that Jackson thought her husband had become too controlling of her appearance and the way she performed at concerts. Jackson, the youngest sibling of late superstar Michael Jackson, married the Qatari businessman in 2012.

Britney announces final Planet Hollywood dates

If you haven’t flown out to Sin City to catch Britney Spears’ concert residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, there’s still time. The pop star announced that the final performances of her show “Britney: Piece of Me” will be Sept. 3-Dec. 31. Tickets are $59-$229 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at BritneyPieceofMe.com. Tickets for her May, August and other September dates are on sale now. Since opening in December 2013, more than 700,000 people have attended her Vegas show, which was named “Best Overall Show” in 2015 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and “Best Resident Performer” in 2016.

Korn’s bassist replaced by 12-year-old

Due to “unforeseen circumstances” Korn’s longtime bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu will not be able to make the heavy rock band’s South American tour, which starts Monday. Instead, he’ll be temporarily replaced by 12-year-old bass player Tye Trujillo. The young musician has toured with rock group Helmets since age 8, and has performed in festivals in South America. He’s got a good pedigree; his dad is Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.

Classic rock group Yes brings its “Yestival” summer tour to DTE Energy Music Theatre Aug. 17. Todd Rundgren and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy are also in tow. Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend, Irina Shayk, a Russian supermodel, welcomed their first child two weeks ago, People magazine reports.
