Jack White releases new single

Jack White released a new single Wednesday from his upcoming album “Boarding House Reach.” “Connected by Love” is the single, with the B-side track “Respect Commander.” The video for “Connected” was posted to YouTube, and it features people who appear to be in various parts of the world. It also shows White singing in a motel room. White told Rolling Stone that it was the first song he wrote in a Nashville apartment. “I just started humming notes out loud, staring out the window. After that, you really can’t explain it. You just have to get out of the way and let it happen. And you don’t really notice it as it’s happening.”

James Franco says allegations are ‘not accurate’

After James Franco won a Golden Globe on Sunday night, actress Violet Paley accused him on Twitter of sexual misconduct. Filmmaker Sarah Tither-Kaplan also spoke out, tweeting “Hey James Franco nice #timesup pin at the Golden Globes, remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn’t exploitative because I signed a contract to do it? Times up on that!” “The things that I heard on Twitter are not accurate,” Franco said to Stephen Colbert on “Late Show.” “But I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long.”
