New premium sauces

Billed as a super-premium line of pasta sauces, R&B Foods Inc. has launched the Bertolli Riserva sauces. Good spice packs

The well-known McCormick brand has come out with a new line of gluten-free mixes. Certified by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness with no MSG or artificial flavors, the blends are available for making meat loaf, fajitas, spaghetti sauce, and beef stew. One good cooking tip

For a nutty, sweet take on dishes, substitute a can of coconut cream sauce in savory or sweet dishes. Chicken soup can be made dairy-free with the substitution for milk or heavy cream. The coconut flavor, common in Thai dishes, can be made into a quick Pad Thai-like base with the addition of ginger, red pepper lime and some fish sauce.
