Good on-the-go cheese
Jarlsberg Cheese will come out next week with a new bite-sized, individually wrapped package of their popular cheese. The Cheese Snacks are 3/4-ounce individually and it’s the first time the company has come out with their cheese in this format. The product is set to hit major supermarkets Sept. 15. Cost is around $5.99 - $6.99 for a 6-ounce package.
A good hazelnut and cocoa spread
Rigoni di Asiago’s Nocciolata Hazelnut and Cocoa Spread doesn’t contain any dairy so it’s a good option for lactose-intolerant individuals. It’s got a deep, nutty flavor and also contains less sugar than other popular hazelnut spreads. Available at Whole Foods markets. Cost is about $6.50 for a 9.5-ounce jar.
Good vegetarian sausage
Keeping with the vegetarian theme, Kansas-based food company Hilary’s has unveiled to allergy-friendly frozen vegetable breakfast sausages. Available in Spicy Sausage and Apple Maple the sausages are gluten-free and don’t contain wheat, diary, eggs, soy, nuts or corn. (They’re made from items including millet, lentils, dates and hemp seeds.) They’ll be available at Whole Foods, health stores and major chains including Kroger this fall. Cost is $4.39 per package.
