Three Detroit teens were arraigned Tuesday in connection with the assault and robbery of a 48-year-old 911 dispatcher who was attacked as she approached a gate to get inside her job last week, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday.
Lathyas Sutton, 17; Bennie Robinson, 18; and Marquise Goodman, 17, were charged in 36th District Court with armed robbery. A fourth defendant, Jayelin Hawkins, 16, was expected to be arraigned as an adult, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
The suspects are accused of attacking and robbing dispatcher around 10:57 p.m. Jan. 3 as she walked toward her workplace on Lyndon Street on Detroit’s west side.
Sutton, Robinson and Goodman were arraigned Tuesday and each received $75,000 bonds. They are due back in court Jan. 17 for a probable cause conference and Jan. 24 for a preliminary examination.
