Police are looking for the suspect who shot and killed an Uber driver Sunday night on Detroit's west side, officials said.
Authorities said the incident happened at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday in the 15000 block of Coyle Avenue near Fenkell Avenue and Greenfield Road.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim and said only he was an African-American male between the ages of 25 and 27.
A witness told investigators the victim picked her up and not long after they saw bright headlights pulling up to their vehicle, according to police.
The Uber driver got out of his vehicle and started running, officials said.
The driver of the other vehicle, a dark-colored pickup, got out of his vehicle and ran after the victim and fired shots at him, striking him several times, police said.
The suspect then got back into the pickup and fled in an unknown direction, officials said.
