One person died and another was wounded Wednesday in a double shooting on Detroit’s west side, police reported.
The pair had pulled up near a vacant home on the 9900 block of Belleterre about 8 p.m. when “someone came outside and began shooting at them,” said Sgt. Nicole Kirkwood, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.
One of the victims, identified as a 24-year-old, was killed.
The other, a 23-year-old, was hospitalized in critical condition late Wednesday, investigators said.
Authorities do not have a description of a suspect.
