A Redford Township man has been charged with crashing into two Roseville Police cars, officials said.
Brandon Donelson, 26, was formally charged Wednesday in court with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, official said Thursday.
All of the charges are misdemeanors, but the unlawful use of a motor vehicle charge carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
A magistrate set Donelson's bond at $30,000 and scheduled his next court appearance for Jan. 17.
Police accuse Donelson of driving a black 2008 Saturn Vue south on Gratiot Avenue north of 12 Mile when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the roadway's center median and then crashed into two police vehicles that were in a crossover lane.
Only minor injuries were reported, officials said.
They said Thursday the department will lose the service of both police vehicles that were damaged in the collision.
