The continuing storm expected to dump as much as 6-9 inches of snow across southeast Michigan by the end of Friday has caused flight cancellations and delays at Detroit Metro Airport.
By Friday afternoon, the airport had 142 canceled and 116 delayed departures, according to FlightStats.com. The storm warning lasts until 12 a.m. Saturday.

The flight changes started Wednesday after Delta Air Lines started offering waivers for the Great Lakes region due to weather advisories for Friday through Saturday. Detroit Metro was on the list of affected airports.
