A reward for information leading to a conviction in the fatal shooting of an Oakland County jogger has jumped to $12,500, Crime Stoppers of Michigan announced Tuesday afternoon.
Crime Stoppers had previously announced a $5,000 reward for information regarding the murder of Alexandra Brueger, who was killed in July in Rose Township while on her daily jog. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms also is offering a $5,000 reward.
Along with the $2,500 boost in the reward, Crime Stoppers will add another $1,000 if a tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight Tuesday.
Brueger, 31, of Holly Township was shot while jogging about 2 p.m. July 30 near 11240 Fish Lake Road. State police said Brueger was shot multiple times. Police said about 2:35 p.m., state police received a 911 call reporting a woman had been shot on a front lawn on Fish Lake Road by an “unknown individual.”
There have been dozens of tips but no arrests.
She was a registered nurse at Providence Park Hospital in Novi, her family said.
