Pontiac — Two Pontiac men were in custody Sunday and expected to face charges in connection with a weekend double homicide that is believed to have occurred following a drug deal.

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Robinwood on reports of gunshots about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. A caller reported two suspects were seen fleeing an address on the street, one east on Baltimore Street and the other west on the street.

Police said two victims – a 34-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman -- were found dead inside the residence from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies found a man upstairs and two children inside the home, none of whom were injured.

It is believed the shooting resulted from a marijuana buy set up by the suspects from one of the victims. The suspects – two men, aged 17, and 21 — were arrested later in the morning. A handgun believed used in the shooting was also recovered, deputies said.
