A woman has been charged in connection with two bank robberies reported in northern Oakland County in the last two months.
Davicia Swift was arrested Saturday after employees at Huntington Bank on Baldwin Road in Orion Township reported the 40-year-old stole cash in a black clothing bag, Oakland County Sheriff’s officials said in a statement.
Workers said they saw the Flint resident fleeing in a black Saturn; deputies spotted the car on northbound Interstate 75, pulled her over and found the money, according to the release.
Authorities also linked Swift, who has convictions for a Grand Blanc Township theft and embezzlement, to a bank robbery reported at a Comerica Bank in Independence Township on Nov. 20. In that incident, the suspect also used a black bag, investigators said.
Swift was arraigned Tuesday at 52-3 District Court on armed robbery and bank robbery charges in the Orion Township incident. Magistrate Maria Soma set bond at $300,000. Her next court date is scheduled for Jan. 29.
Swift was arraigned Wednesday 52-2nd District Court in the Independence Township incident. Judge Joseph Fabrizio set bond at $300,000. A Jan. 30 hearing has been set.
