Miles Bridges has accomplished quite a bit individually in a little more than a season on the Michigan State men’s basketball team.

On Tuesday, though, was a first: The MSU sophomore forward was named Big Ten Player of the Week — the first time he’s received the honor.

The 6-foot-7 Bridges averaged 25 points, 7.5 rebounds and three assists in a pair of lopsided home victories for the No. 2 Spartans — 107-62 over Houston Baptist, and 102-60 over Long Beach State.

Bridges tied a career high with 33 points against Houston Baptist, and had 17 points and nine rebounds against Long Beach State.
