The Michigan baskeball team will get some help next season from overseas.
Mortiz Wagner, a 6-foot-10 forward from Germany, announced Sunday on Twitter that he will play next season at Michigan.
"Proud that I (am) gonna be a Wolverine and a part of Michigan next year," Moritz tweeted.
He is Michigan's first commitment for 2015.
Wagner, 17, plays for Alba Berlin, a professional club in the German League and Euroleague. He averaged 9.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in five games in on the club's U18 team, and played in a pair of games for the Euroleague team.
According to Scott Phillips of NBC Sports, Wagner did not sign a professional contract, which allowed him to remain an amateur and become eligible to play college basketball.
