Michigan (10-2) fell to No. 5 from No. 3 in the latest College Football Playoff ranking after last weekend's double-overtime loss at Ohio State. Alabama (12-0) remains perched in the No. 1 spot followed by No. 2 Ohio State (11-1). As expected, Clemson (11-1) moved up a spot to No. 3 while Washington (11-1) jumped to No. 4 from the fifth spot.

Western Michigan (12-0) moved up to No. 17 from No. 21, which is two spots ahead of No. 19 Navy (9-2) for a spot in the Cotton Bowl Jan. 2.
