The Philadelphia Eagles’ 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII on Sunday night earned a 47.4 overnight rating and 70 share on NBC, according to the Nielsen Company.

That rating/share, which does not include the digital audience, is expected to be the highest of the year on any network, as no show other than last year’s Super Bowl earned a rating higher than 28 in 2017.

Last year’s game, with New England defeating Atlanta in overtime, earned a 48.8 rating on Fox – 3 percent higher than this year’s rating.

Sunday night’s game ranks ninth among all Super Bowls for TV audience.
