Detroit City FC will play host to Venezia FC in an international friendly Tuesday, July 18, the Detroit team announced Tuesday.
The match is at 7:30 p.m. at Hamtramck’s Keyworth Stadium, making it the first of back-to-back international friendlies in Metro Detroit. Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma will kick off the International Champions Cup at 8:30 p.m. on July 19 at Comerica Park in Detroit.
It will be the first match for Venezia, based in Venice Italy, in the United States.
Venezia this past season won Lega Pro, the third division of Italian soccer, and earned a promotion to Serie B. The team is managed by Filippo Inzaghi, who had a legendary career playing for AC Milan and Juventus.
Tickets for the match are $15 and will be available to the general public May 23 at tickets.detcityfc.com. Admission to the match is free for Detroit City FC ticket holders.
