Rochester Hills - Stuart, Bernard (Bernie) E. of Rochester Hills; January 18, 2022, age 90. Loving husband of Shirley (Matkin), devoted father of Daniel (Jeanne), John (Michelle), Timothy (Susan), and Jennifer (Jeff) Wingate. Also, stepfather to Jennifer (Jason) Barbour. Bernie was a twin of Catherine (Sid) Baker, a brother to William (Doris), Thomas (Dorothy), and Mary Ann Lippert (Michael). He was predeceased by brothers Ray (Joan) and James (Sandy). Survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was born in Detroit on May 19, 1931, the son of the late Ray and Miriam Stuart. Bernie attended University of Detroit High School, college, and law school. Bernie was a member of the State Bar of Michigan (retired) and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bernie loved golf, playing cards, reading, and extensive travelling with Shirley and close friends. A memorial will be held at a later date.
