McLaren Medical Group has named Bill Hardimon as its president and CEO, the company announced Monday.

Hardimon, who began the role Oct. 20, oversees the administrative operations of the medical group that employs more than 400 primary and specialty care doctors. The medical group is part of Flint-based McLaren Health System, which has more than 10 hospitals across Michigan, including facilities in Oakland and Macomb counties.

“Bill Hardimon has extensive expertise in the area of medical practice management and shares our vision of providing quality, accessible, patient-centered care to those we are privileged to serve,” said Mark O’Halla, executive vice president/chief operating officer of McLaren Health Care, in a Monday statement.

During his 20-plus years in the field, he also held administrative roles with the Detroit Medical Center, Detroit Community Health Connection, Greater Detroit Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and the Great Lakes Rehabilitation Hospital.

In his new role, Hardimon’s responsibilities will include customer service, operational efficiency and the expansion of the network, according to a press release.

Hardimon, a Linden resident, has a master’s in business administration degree from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s degree in human physiology from Oakland University. He replaces O’Halla.
