Dearborn — AAA Michigan says gas prices statewide have gone up about 7 cents in the past week.

The Dearborn-based auto club says the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.34 per gallon on Sunday. The increase in gas prices follows four straight weekly declines.

According to the auto club, gas prices are about $1.03 less than at the same point last year.

AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel prices at 2,800 gas stations across the state. The lowest average price was about $2.24 per gallon in the Marquette area, while the highest average was about $2.37 in the Ann Arbor area.
