Google on Tuesday said it’s expanding its Google Express next-day delivery service to Detroit, Ann Arbor and the rest of Southeast Michigan.

That means online shoppers placing orders from Costco, Toys R Us, Barnes & Noble, Moosejaw, PetSmart or other retailers can get their goods quicker. Goods are shipped directly from retailers.

Google Express memberships cost $95 a year or $10 a month, or customers can get a la carte delivery for $4.99 per store. Google is currently offering a three-month free trial for new members.

“Our goal with Google Express is to offer a great shopping experience and connect people with their favorite stores,” Brian Elliott, general manager of Google Express, said in a statement. “Today, we’re very excited to be further expanding our efforts — making it easy for over 50 million people in the Midwest to get things they need from stores they love — delivered overnight.”

The service expanded to Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Lansing last month.
