Actor Mark Wahlberg revealed that he’s in talks with Rock Ventures founder Dan Gilbert about a Detroit location for his hamburger chain Wahlburgers.

In a television interview with FOX2’s Lee Thomas to promote the holiday comedy “Daddy’s Home” with co-star Will Ferrell, Wahlberg mentioned Greektown as the location.

“I’ve been nice enough to get Dan Gilbert to give me a nice location,” said Wahlberg. “I’m coming. (We) could be there this summer.”

“I’ll come out to open your store,” said Ferrell.

“Oh yeah,” said Wahlberg. “No free food, though.”

The casual burger chain is featured on an A&E reality show of the same name. Wahlburgers is owned by Mark’s brother Paul Wahlberg, the chef, and their other brother Donnie, an actor and singer who is best known as a member of New Kids on the Block.

According to its website, Wahlburgers has locations in Toronto, New York and the brothers’ native state Massachusetts. Additional restaurants are planned for Las Vegas, Orlando and Philadelphia. The menu includes a full bar with a focus on burgers, sandwiches, sides, salads and artisan sodas.
