Your guide to the Detroit auto show

The Detroit News

After days of new model reveals and automotive industry events and news at the Detroit auto show, the public gets its chance to gawk at hundreds of new models, concept cars and all things autos as the annual show opens to the public this weekend.

Marking its 30th anniversary this year, the Detroit auto show offers literally something for everyone. As the show opens to the public on Jan. 20, the turnstiles are expected to spin furiously with at least 700,000 automotive fans, friends and family likely to swing through Cobo.

As always, the cars are the stars at the NAIAS. At last count, that’s expected to include about 45 cars, trucks, crossovers and concept vehicles making either their global or North American debut.

Here's what you need to know if you plan to go to the North American International Auto Show.
