Lincoln Motor Co.'s polarizing pitchman is back.

Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey — whose commercials earlier this year for the new Lincoln MKC generated buzz and spurred multiple late-night parodies — will be back starting on Thursday in a new ad campaign for Lincoln's MKZ sedan and MKZ hybrid.

The new ads will air during college football bowl games.

"The overwhelming response to the MKC campaign sparked truly great awareness for Lincoln," Andrew Frick, Lincoln's group marketing manager, said in a statement. "Matthew's natural storytelling ability perfectly complements the Lincoln story as we continue to raise awareness and drive conversation in creative and unexpected ways."

In August, Lincoln announced a two-year partnership with McConaughey.

"Including Lincoln MKZ is a natural progression in our collaborative process, and we look forward to continuing the momentum with this campaign to share our brand with a wider audience," Frick said.

The new MKZ ads will mirror the tone and style of McConaughey's MKC "Live in Your Moment" ads. They were filmed over two days in Los Angeles and will air in the United States and Canada.

One ad places McConaughey in a small, neighborhood restaurant, while the other puts him in L.A.'s Griffith Park. He touts the features of the MKZ and MKZ hybrid, Lincoln's midszie sedan that was first introduced two years ago.

"If I can be authentic, and the spots are authentic, then we are sending the same message," McConaughey said in a statement. "And I think we're doing that in this series of Lincoln ads."
