Ford adds new head of marketing, sales and service
Ford Motor Co. said Wednesday John Felice, its vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service, will retire Feb. 1 and will be replaced by Mark LaNeve, currently chief operating officer at Global Team Ford, the automaker’s marketing and ad agency.
Felice has worked at Ford for 30 years in a variety of management positions in marketing, sales and service divisions in both the U.S. and Asia Pacific. He was a staple on monthly sales conference calls, giving reporters and analysts insight and details about vehicle performance each month.
“John has had a long and successful career as a key leader serving us around the world for more than 30 years,” Joe Hinrichs, executive vice president and president of the Americas, said in a statement. “Among his many contributions, John led the Ford brand revitalization in the U.S., resulting in an unprecedented improvement in customer favorability, and was a strong advocate for our dealers, ensuring their participation in our business planning process and further strengthening our relationship with them. We thank John for his many years of service and wish him all the best going forward.”
LaNeve will report to Hinrichs and to Stephen Odell, executive vice president, global marketing, sales and service. He will be responsible for all marketing, sales, service and dealer relations in the United States.

LaNeve has been chief operating officer of Global Team Ford since August 2012. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Team Detroit, General Motors, Volvo Cars and Allstate Insurance.
