About 100 Corvettes rallied Tuesday at Matick Chevy in Redford Township and rolled off for Marshall, where they were to meet up with ’Vette owners from west Michigan and Flint, on a caravan to the national Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky.

Thousands of Corvettes from around the U.S. are expected to meet up for the fifth National Corvette Caravan, which takes place Friday through Saturday. This year’s gathering celebrates the 20th anniversary of the museum, near GM’s sole Corvette assembly plant.
