General Motors Co.’s luxury Cadillac brand said Wednesday its dealers are now taking orders for the new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V high performance sedan, which comes with a starting price tag of $84,990 including destination.

Cadillac’s most powerful vehicle ever, the 640-horsepower CTS-V has a top speed of 200 miles per hour and can reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. It will be available in late summer. The price is about $20,000 more than the 2014 CTS-V which started at about $65,000.

“V-Series represents the pinnacle of Cadillac, a brand that now makes drivers’ cars at the highest level,” Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen said in a statement. “The new CTS-V is essentially two cars in one: a luxury sedan with sophisticated road manners and a track-capable sports car with awe-inspiring performance.”

Cadillac has a new 2016 ATS-V, available in late spring with a starting price of $61,460 including destination. The ATS-V will be available in coupe and sedans styles.

Both vehicles will be built at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
