General Motors Co.’s Buick brand said Wednesday that its first convertible in the U.S. in 25 years, the 2016 Buick Cascada, will start at $33,990 including destination fee.

The four-seat convertible goes on sale early in 2016. It features a power roof that can lower in 17 seconds while driving up to 31 miles per hour. A premium model Cascada, which adds safety features such as forward collision alert and lane departure warning, is priced at $36,990.

Buick sees the Cascada competing with convertibles such as the Audi A3 Cabriolet.

“Cascada expands Buick’s lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, said in a statement. “With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment.”
